Abstract

Oil palm is the belle of the economy in Riau Province. The productivity of fruit produced by this plant needs to be improved through research studies. This study aims to compare the use of chemical fertilizers, organic fertilizers, and the incorporation of these two types of fertilizers on FFB productivity. This research was conducted at oil palm Company in Kerumutan District. Chemical fertilizers come from synthetic fertilizers and organic fertilizers derived from, EFB (empty fruit bunch), boiler ash, decanter solid, and manure. The results of this study indicate that the use of chemical and organic fertilizers separately is not significantly different. The application of fertilizing a combination of chemical and organic fertilizers differs significantly. FFB productivity increases significantly after using a combination fertilizer between chemical and organic fertilizers. The method of fertilizing a combination of chemical and organic fertilizers increases FFB productivity in a sustainable manner.
